Did you know:

• Weare is the largest landmass in Hillsborough County?
• Weare covers a total of 60.1 square miles, compared to Manhattan, NY's 23 square miles.
• Weare was the site of the Pine Tree Riot, an act of rebellion led by Ebenezer Mudgett in protest of the Crown's Broad Arrow Policy, which made it illegal to cut down white pine trees larger than 12 inches in diameter. These trees were to be used as masts in the Royal Navy.
