Voter Registration

PUBLIC NOTICE

New Hampshire law requires that the Supervisors of the Checklist verify the checklist every year. Any person on the checklist who has not voted in the past five years must re-register to remain on the checklist, unless the voter registered after the last state general election. The supervisors are sending notice letters to these voters at the address the voter provided when registering.

The Supervisors of the Checklist for the Town of Weare will hold a session for re-registering voters who have not voted since April 1, 2021, accepting applications for new voter registration, accepting requests for correction of the checklist, and/or change of political party on:

Date: Tuesday June 2, 2026  Time: 5:00pm-5:30 pm(with extended hours as determined by the Supervisors.)

Location: Town Clerk’s Office, 15 Flanders Memorial Rd, Weare, NH

Applicants for registration who possess proof of identity, age, citizenship, and domicile should bring proof when they come to register.

Voter registration must be completed in person at either the Town Clerk's office during normal business hours, a posted public meeting of the Supervisors of the Checklist, or on Election Day. 

To register to vote, you must provide proof of the following:

U.S. Citizenship: birth certificate, United States passport, or naturalization documents, or other proof of citizenship issued by the United States Department of State, or other reasonable documentation which indicates the applicant is a United States citizen. (examples include birth certificate, US passport, or naturalization papers) 

Identity and Age: driver’s license, or government-issued photo identification, or passport/passport card.

Weare Residency: driver’s license, or resident vehicle registration, or government-issued ID with the current domicile address listed. If an applicant attests that they do not possess any of these, they can use a rental/lease agreement, or utility or other bill with the current domicile, or the Confirmation of Domicile Form (blank form provided by local election officials which must also be signed by a person owning, leasing, or renting the domicile property.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:  If your name has legally changed from the name on the document used to prove your U.S. citizenship, you must present proof of your legal name change that shows both your prior name as it appears on your proof of citizenship document and your current legal name, as it appears on the voter registration application.  Your marriage certificate, divorce decree, adoption papers, or court order approving your name change will usually satisfy this requirement.
